Program Overview

This program seeks to ignite a passion for health justice in young women of color (ages 16-21) residing in Greater Dayton. Recognizing their unique experiences and perspectives, this program centers their voices and leadership in the movement for health equity. By equipping them with knowledge, skills, and a supportive network, we aim to cultivate a generation of informed and engaged leaders who will champion equitable access to healthcare, reproductive rights, and bodily autonomy for themselves and their communities.

Objectives

  1. Deepen Understanding of Health Justice, Health Disparities, and Health Outcomes

  2. Develop Advocacy Skills & Strategies

  3. Cultivate Leadership Qualities Grounded in Cultural Strengths

  4. Fuel Action and Impact By Designing and Implementing Impactful Health Justice Projects

  5. Forge a Supportive Network With Peers, Mentors, and Community Leaders of Color Working in the Field of Health Justice
